Digital Storytelling

 For this week my friend Beyza and I prepared a "How To" project. Our video was different than other "How To" videos because we chose a rather abstract subject. We chose "depression during quarantine and ways to cope with it" as our subject. Since we are in the middle of an epidemic a lot of people cope with mental dısorders like depession. We can't go out and meet our friends or do something that erase the feeling of being depressed like we usually did. Because of that most of us do not know what to do. That is why we agreed on that subject, to help people.

While doing the video we used Pixton and clipchamp. Pixton is a comic maker which is partly free. It was easy there to create a comic in terms of caracter, background and actions. Only con for that site is that it is not totally free that cause you to work with limited elements. But free elements on the site should be enough for most people. Clipchamp is the website that we used to turn our comic into a video. It was also easy to use and its free. You can add your voice and music in the background and more.

The advantages of digital storytelling is that teacher offers students to be creative and use technology. As I mentioned in my previous posts the opportunity to be creative in classes are not encouraged enough.
