      The task that I did today was creating a timeline. It might not sound ineresting maybe even boring but ı had a good time making it. Thanks to a website called Visme. It made the task enjoyable but one downside of this web site which is a really bad downside is that it does not allow you to download the final draft. You need to pay to download. I did not pay but I took a screen shot of it but if you need movement in whatever material you are making it is not eligible for the task.      This task helps us to understand the improvement of the using the computer in language teaching and learning.        Language education, like everything else, has changed with the invention of the computer. There are several approaches to usage of computer in education and some of the earliest of them are CAI(computer-aided instruction) which put emphasis om both the machine and the learners and PLATO(Programmed Logic for Automated Teaching Operations) created in 1960s which allows learners to have multiple choice test and activities that gets harder step by step.      Teachers started to use computers more commonly with the invention of microcomputers in 1980s. A lot of programs were real-life simulations and authentic.      In this post I am going to talk about educational technologies course that I took this semester. This course change my idea of technology use in education thoroughly. Thats because for my whole time as a student teachers used technology for only power point presentations. With this course I learned several ways to use technology during class and for assignments. Another pros about this course is that it prepares you for 21st century teaching.     My favorite task is prepreing a movie poster. I watch movies as a hobby, like I can watch 3 movies in a day just for fun. This task offered me an oppurtunity to create a movie that I want to see in cinemas. And the task that I liked least was the 21st century learning task. Because it was a little bit boring to me. I really had fun doing the other tasks though..     I enjoyed this course most of the time but I would enjoy it more if there were a few activities during class. There could be more fun things ...

 For this week my friend Beyza and I prepared a "How To" project. Our video was different than other "How To" videos because we chose a rather abstract subject. We chose "depression during quarantine and ways to cope with it" as our subject. Since we are in the middle of an epidemic a lot of people cope with mental dısorders like depession. We can't go out and meet our friends or do something that erase the feeling of being depressed like we usually did. Because of that most of us do not know what to do. That is why we agreed on that subject, to help people. While doing the video we used Pixton and clipchamp. Pixton is a comic maker which is partly free. It was easy there to create a comic in terms of caracter, background and actions. Only con for that site is that it is not totally free that cause you to work with limited elements.       This week we were asked to make an infografic concerning the online education in Turkey. In this infografic I gave some tips for online students to be more successful.        I used canva to make this infografic. Canva is a pretty useful online device and it can multitask.a It is also quite simple. It has draft examples that you can use or you can just start over. There are also instructions if you are new to make such things like poster or infografic.      I think it is useful for language learners to create infografics because it offers them to use target language to create something rather than just speaking or writing. I also think that it is fun informative. It doesn't wear you of at all. Those are so important for a task because it makes students actually like class.

 This week I was expected to create either a magazine or a movie poster. I chose to make a movie poster. The task was about creating a poster to a movie that hasn't been made yet. It should be inspired by a book that I read. I chose Gregor: The Prphecy of Gray that I read it at highschool. When I first read it, I thought that would make a great movie that's why I chose it.      I used an online poster making website which is Canva. It was pretty useful because of the instuctions. I used canva last year for my Information Technologies class it was the first time I've used it. This website is pretty handy when it comes to poster making.      I would definitely use this assignment for my students because it is creative.  This week's assignment was about an internet based project. It was a group assignment with four paople. We opened a padlet page and made it about covid-19. First we typed the things that we know about covid-19. After that we asked the things that we want to know about covid-19. Then we looked for answers to our question. And we add some videos and pictures. As a group we had so much fun. It was informative as much as it was fun. I learned a lot about covid-19 during this assignment. It is also helps you to improve team work. I would definitely recommend my future students to do such tasks because it's important for them to learn teamwork and technoogies. They need to learn how to use technology in education because in future lays in technology. To catch up with our students we need to understand and use technology too.
